The first Ardbeg matured in Port Casks, unveiled for Ardbeg Day 2024. The ultimate Islay malt whisky, Ardbeg (ARDBEG), is launching a limited edition for Ardbeg Day 2024.

Ardbeg Day, held on the last Saturday of the Fèis Ìle (Islay Music & Malt Festival) every year, is a global event celebrating everything Ardbeg.

This year, on Saturday, June 1st, Ardbeg will celebrate Ardbeg Day with an exciting festival at the Ardbeg distillery and around the world. At the same time, Ardbeg Spectacular, the result of Ardbeg's most unique experiment ever, will be launched. This avant-garde limited edition, the first Ardbeg matured entirely in Port barrels, marks a remarkable departure from traditional bourbon-aged Ardbeg, bringing a dynamic richness and striking color variation to the Islay malt.

Dark chocolate flavors tumble, mint precariously tightropes, while candied fruit, incense, and toasted pecans perform aerial acrobatics.

Inspired by the astounding flavors of Ardbeg Spectacular, a feat of wonder akin to a circus performance, Ardbeg Day will invite Ardbeg fans to the "Dark Circus."

For one day only, at the distillery and at local events worldwide, whisky enthusiasts can immerse themselves in the smoky and unique Ardbeg circus experience with exciting tastings, unique games, and a wealth of peaty delights.

Ardbeg's Master Blender, Gillian Macdonald, says: "Ardbeg Spectacular is truly an adventurous whisky, perfect for Ardbeg Day. The time spent maturing in both bourbon and port casks creates an incredible flavor profile, one that is new for Ardbeg aficionados. Ardbeg Day in Korea will be held on June 15th this year, and tickets for Ardbeg Spectacular and Ardbeg Day 2024 will be available for purchase through Daily Shot starting at 4pm on June 7th.
